Cloud Architecture, Platform Builds and Migrations
acks.io designs and builds cloud and Kubernetes platforms on AWS, Google Cloud and Azure, and plans and executes migrations onto them. Platforms are built in Terraform from day one, with networking, IAM guardrails, secrets management, backups, monitoring and cost controls in place before the first production workload.
Cloud consultancy from engineers who build: you get a working platform and a team that knows how to run it, not a slide deck.
What we do
Three kinds of cloud project
Scope
What a platform project covers
Cloud strategy and roadmap
- Target architecture and provider choice
- Phased roadmap with clear milestones
- Build vs. managed-service decisions
Foundations
- Accounts, subscriptions or projects
- Networking, private connectivity, firewalls
- Identity, RBAC and policy guardrails
Kubernetes
- Managed or self-managed clusters
- Ingress, autoscaling and storage
- GitOps delivery with Argo CD
Data and security
- Managed databases with HA and point-in-time recovery
- Encryption at rest and in transit
- Secrets management
Scaling and performance
- Architecture tuned for expected load
- Resource allocation and autoscaling
- Load and failover testing
Operations
- Monitoring, logging and alerting
- Backups and recovery procedures
- Runbooks and team enablement
From our work
Platforms we have built
- Security-first AI platform on Azure — greenfield AKS, PostgreSQL and Front Door platform for an AI legal tech company.
- Azure platform build-out and GitOps — AKS, VMs and firewalls with Argo CD delivery for airline cargo.
- On-prem modernization — Proxmox and Kubernetes for workloads that require local control.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do you also migrate applications to Kubernetes?
Yes — that is covered in detail by our Kubernetes Setup & Migration service. This page covers broader cloud work: platform builds, landing zones, and cloud or region migrations.
Can you take over a migration that is already in progress?
Yes. Half-finished migrations are common. We start by mapping what has moved, what has not and what is blocking, then plan the rest with rollback paths.
Do you build on a specific cloud?
We build on AWS, Google Cloud and Azure, and on-premises with Kubernetes. The right choice depends on your constraints, not on a partnership.
Who owns the platform after the project?
You do. Everything is delivered as Terraform and Git-managed configuration, with documentation and a handover to your team.
Talk to an engineer about your infrastructure
A 30-minute call with a senior engineer, not a sales rep. We ask about your setup and what is worrying you, and tell you honestly whether we can help.
